Scottish Canal Volunteers ~ Helmsmen & Canal Maintenance
|Description||Our volunteers have access to 2 dedicated boats, one called "Lochrin" which operates between the Forth & Clyde and Union canal. They have many uses, from litter picking to vegetation management. Working Crew and Helmsmen are required to keep these boats operating on canal maintenance.|
|Location||Forth & Clyde and Union Canal|
|Task||Based on a workboat you will assist Scottish Canals with general maintenance of both canals. From vegetation clearance to painting structures to crewing the boat, there is a job for every ability.|
|Time Commitment||Having a flexible approach to time management is key. We would prefer people who can commit ling term due to the nature of this project: We are happy to discuss this further with you.|
